burnaware is crap and imgburn is overcomplicated, extremely clunky, and poorly documented. and neither has the primary feature that explore&burn offers, which is access from the explorer shell.next to the internet, i can't think of any other aspect of life that is so full of whiny spoiled crybabies with an overinflated sense of self-entitlement. under no other circumstances do people expect the best and also expect for it to be free. nor do they settle for sub-par performance but rave about it just because it's free.why don't they offer a free version? because they don't have to. it's their product. you're not entitled to free anything. go use something else--see who cares.

you're joking, right ? compatibility with windows 7 ? it's barely even safe to call it a beta product and won't be available for years and you expect compatibility ? yeah, right.

previously i left a less than perfect review for this software, indicating that it was pretty worthless considering. strangely, my review no longer shows up. so here it is again. worthless. only goes after "incidents" that are already widely known and have removal procedures in place.avoid. and -1 for removing my previous review... would that be to artificially boost the overall score? who knows.

nagware, no thanks. the microsoft image resizer powertoy works very well on xp systems, and someone has written a clone of it for vista and 7.

i had a bad experience with kaspersky. i did a trial download of their 2010 version, liked it well enough, and bought a seven-user 2009 package, retail. when i went to activate it, my keyboard was blocked and i was unable to enter the key code. i tried another keyboard, same thing. so, kaspersky took control of my keyboard / pc, so that i could not use my valid key code, leaving only the option to buy the license online, from their site (giving them my credit card number, too, of course). not cool! the retail package i bought was sealed and never used, completely legal. kaspersky could not have known if it was or wasn't, anyway, since i never got to enter the key code. point being that i should have been perfectly able / allowed to register a new, retail product. having already downloaded the trial is what got me. even though i uninstalled it and restarted the pc, there is still a counter on my computer, telling the days remaining on my "trial" period. this is complete bull! my next question is, that if they are doing something this unethical (in my opinion, it is), then what else are they doing with access to my pc?

this is a very decent program. is it a must have tool? no, but it's nice to have if you have lots of icons and like to keep your desktop clean without having to sort everything out all the time. would be a bit more reasonable but a couple bucks more isn't that much. there really are a ton of options here to play around with. i'm trying out version 4.0 btw.this is a shareware alternative to iconoid, which does a few of the same things but not to the same extreme. if you look around you can find a 64 bit version of iconoid ported by the author of the excellent must have tool x-mouse button control.

i use this all day - every day. if you think you might need the features of a powerful explorer replacement, this great utility deserves a shot.attractively priced, constantly and meaningfully updated, and a very responsive developer: what more could you ask for?
